People, Planes and Patriotism
In the past, there have been aviation programs broadcast on cable TV. In the past, there have been news and information-based aviation websites. Now, UflyTV offers something new: A digital aviation television network delivered via the internet. Our brand promise is to entertain, inspire and inform all who have an interest in people, planes and patriotism.
The principles of UflyTV have very likely produced more aviation television than anyone in the media business. They have collaborated to produce six aviation-based cable television series, consisting of some 170 shows that total over 100 hours of running time. The team has received over 40 national and international awards for creative excellence for this work, including the National Aviation Hall of Fame’s Combs Gates Award.
Voices of Valor is an all new series of shows featuring people placed in harm’s way, told in their own words. From fighter pilots to Holocaust survivors to refugees, these voices - recorded and preserved by the Fagen Fighter’s World War II Museum - are living history. They are never before seen biographies that inspire, teach and make surprising additions to the historical record!
Our journey into the sky - which took us from Kitty Hawk to the moon in a mere 66 years - has been one of history’s most momentous events. All Things Aviation documents all of the fascinating developments along the way - pre-World War I aircraft, the airplanes of the barnstormers and the Golden Age of Aviation, the explosion of General Aviation airplanes after World War II, and the aircraft that have brought us to the cusp of civilian space travel today. Airplanes, airplanes , airplanes - up close and personal - in All Things Aviation.
In the skies where heroes fly and fight, there are no monuments. So, lovingly restored Warbirds are the memorials; our national treasures. One week each year, the EAA Warbirds of America gather more World War II airplanes on one airfield than at any time since the War ended. Twelve Warbirds in Review presentations are presented during that week. They include the airplanes that defended our liberty, the patriots who preserved them and the veterans who flew them in combat. The entire series, beginning with 2014 through this summer, including breathtaking air to air footage of the airplanes in flight, is available.
The digital premier of the series we produced for Discovery Communication’s Military Channel. This 14-hour epic documentary series, narrated by actor and veteran’s advocate Gary Sinise, includes the story of the air war in Europe, the epoch Doolittle Raid, the vaunted Flying Tigers American Volunteer Group and the historic mission of the Enola Gay. This award-winning series features our hallmark approach: telling the stories in depth, through the words of the men and women who lived it.
UflyTV presents a library of fascinating historical movies and TV shows ranging from feature films, to military training films, to iconic news reels, recent cable TV series and more! The subjects run the gamut from light sport aircraft to vintage; from certified airplanes to home builts; from commercial aircraft to military.
Those who served in Southeast Asia during the U.S. military engagement there are familiar with the bittersweet use of the phrase “Welcome Home”. When a war weary and politically divided U.S. did not properly welcome those who served back home, the veterans began to greet each other with this phrase. Again, UflyTV employs its “in-their-own-words” technique, recording extended personal narratives of those who served in Southeast Asia. Learn about their lives before during and after their service, the jobs they did during the war and the lasting impact of that service on their lives.
If you’ve ever wished you could sit down with iconic aviation leaders for an extended conversation, Aviation Icons is the next best thing.
