Once again, the EAA Warbirds of America is proud to hosts its popular "Warbirds in Review" program, presenting Legendary pilots and military aircraft of the past 75 years as they take center stage at AirVenture Oshkosh. The twice-daily sessions give attendees a rare chance to see such aviation legends as Bud Anderson, Bob Hoover, Patrick Brady and others up close with aircraft types that they flew in combat, testing or training. EAA Warbirds of America members generously provide their aircraft and talk about the many facets of Warbird ownership. The sessions feature fascinating "inside" stories from the presenters and include the opportunity for Q&A's from the audience. The sessions feature fascinating "inside" stories from the presenters and include the opportunity for Q&A's from the audience. This year will highlight veterans and aircraft from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and Afghanistan. We encourage all veterans to join us to be recognized with a special gift sponsored by Fagen Fighters WWII Museum
Preceding the presentations, Warbirds Living History Group will host educational demonstrations on flight gear associated with the upcoming aircraft. Theresa Eaman will entertain everyone with her beautiful voice and stirring renditions of popular songs. Theresa has quite a following and we are pleased that she will join us again this year with an expanded time slot. Visit the EAA Warbirds of America website http://www.warbirds-eaa.org/ for schedule and details about each presentation. Schedules are subject to change.
Warbirds in Review sessions take place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily, July 20th - July 25th. Come early, (9:15 & 12:15) to see and hear the “Living History” Warbird members followed by Theresa! The “Warbirds in Review” Jumbotron will feature programming throughout the day provided by Sleeping Dog Productions: We are indeed fortunate to have the Sleeping Dog’s feature documentaries available for our audience. Live streaming and distribution of the programs will be available on their website: www.Flyingondemand.com
Warbirds in Review, the media presence and programming is possible through donations to EAA Warbirds of America. Jim Hagedorn CEO of Scotts Miracle-Gro Company has generously supported “Warbirds” on many projects and has once again, stepped forward as the sustaining sponsor for this year’s “Warbirds in Review”. Thank you Jim and Scotts Miracle-Gro Company. Thank you to all of our sponsors, particularly Ron & Diane Fagen for their continued support and providing the veterans commemorative coins this year and to Rob Hagedorn for being a part of bringing the Gary Sinise band to Oshkosh on Friday evening. Without the generosity of aircraft owners, pilots, restorers, volunteers and veterans none of the other pieces would come together… A special thank you to all of the program participants.
We look forward to sharing the following schedule with all of you. My personal note of thanks to the “Warbirds in Review” volunteers, sponsors, aircraft owners, veterans, Sleeping Dog Productions and the Warbirds of America Board. Without your support, we couldn’t make this the “place to be” during Airventure. A special thank you to the “Alley Cats” the Warbird alley line crew. We have a lot of large aircraft scheduled this year which will be a challenge for them. Good news is … they love a challenge. Thank you everyone.
